moral con la justicia económica y racial.
ECCO is a multifaith network of 59 congregations and the North Shore Labor Council that works for a world where everyone belongs, everyone can thrive, and we all have a say in the decisions that affect our lives.
ECCO brings people together across lines of difference to build people-power, heal our racial wounds, and provide moral clarity in these uncertain times.
Recent Victories:
Organized rent-burdened families and allies to convince local leaders to allocate more than $25 million in Lynn, Salem, Beverly, Gloucester and Rockport for affordable housing, which will support hundreds more families in accessing affordable housing.
Won inclusionary zoning in Lynn and affordable housing zoning changes in Beverly and Rockport.
Won a campaign to get the city of Lynn to establish an unarmed crisis response team to launch in 2024, to respond to non-violent situations separate from the police department.
Played a key role in passing the Work and Family Mobility Mobility Act, which means undocumented immigrants can now access drivers licenses, enabling them to drive without fear of detention and deportation.
Organized hundreds of volunteers to get out the vote to pass the Fair Share Amendment, which will provide $2 billion/year in funding for education and transportation in MA.
In a time when so many families are facing housing insecurity, over criminalization, and the threat of deportation, ECCO gives us the opportunity to work in solidarity with people closest to the pain to make meaningful change for them and for all of us.
